The Holy Spirit perked my ears to a tense mother son conversation while out shopping. She wanted his Santa list.
“I can’t imagine with all this stuff,” the disappointment and frustration were thick in his tone.
Mom heard, “I can’t choose.” Son meant, “I want to pretend.” He sought simplicity.
I apologized for eve’s dropping then translated for the child. She moved to the less animated section. The child was at peace and became excited.
By God’s design I need simplicity and to work at my passion. I’ve yet to find a topic over complicated in His word. I do the complicating. I admit, often before seeking His word.
He has given me ability, tools, and direction. Why do I crowd it with animation? Proverbs 3:5-6 states: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Thank You for the K-I-S-S today, Lord.
As though Solomon wrote:
Dear Rose,
God said to tell you Keep It Simple Sister.
I praise you for the intercession of the Holy Spirit… there are times I need a translator.
It is so true that I over complicate His Word! Thank you for reminding me to keep it simple.
SO glad I am not alone!
